Salon Vignerons en Seine - Paris - 10 & 11 décembre

Vignerons en Seine exhibition - Paris - December 10 & 11

The weekend of December 10 & 11 will take place the Salon Vignerons en Seine in Paris.
We invite you to taste our eight certified organic vintages vinified with indigenous yeasts without external contribution:
White wines:
  • Terres Blanches : a Saumur Blanc 100% Chenin Blanc typical of Saumur AOC wines. Our Chenins grow on the clay-limestone soils of the Saumur-Puy-Notre-Dame appellation on south-facing slopes, which gives our wines richness and minerality. We age this wine for 8 to 10 months in our century-old concrete vats in order to preserve its freshness and its aromas of white fruits (or exotic fruits for sunny years).
  • Refuge de Chavannes : Our other appellation Saumur blanc 100% Chenin Blanc also raised on Clay-Limestone Terroirs and aged in oak barrels for at least 2 years in order to reveal the roundness, elegance and salinity of this native grape variety. Our know-how has been rewarded by a gold medal at the Challenge International du Vin de Bordeaux in 2018.
Red wines:
  • Ilot des Biches : our atypical Saumur red because it comes from bunches of Cabernet Franc from the same plot at the foot of the place called “Vigne Biche”. This plot has the particularity of being located on a geological fault of rocks older than the clay-limestone of the Puy Notre Dame hillock made up of clay, iron and flint from the Jurrassic (the age of the dinosaurs:). This particularity gives our wines a freshness and a very particular “sharp” character, which makes it a very original AOC Saumur red wine. This atypical character was also rewarded for our 2018 vintage with a gold medal at the Independent Winegrowers Competition We age this wine in our century-old concrete vats to preserve the brand of this terroir and retain the freshness and fruitiness that we expect from an AOC Saumur red.
  • Le Pied à l’Etrier : The signature wine of Domaine de l’Enchantoir! An AOC Saumur-Puy-Notre-Dame that we make from 100% Cabernet Franc bunches grown on Turonian clay-limestone terroir in our small village of Chavannes on the edge of Puy Notre Dame. This wine is aged for around 18 months in our century-old concrete vats to preserve the fruity and spicy character of our Puy Notre Dame Cabernet Franc.
  • Clos du Petit Chavannes : Our Saumur-Puy-Notre-Dame AOC aged in oak barrels for 1 and a half years to provide roundness and elegance to our “tuffe” Cabernet Franc and reveal their aromas of spice and pepper. Wine to keep in the cellar for a beautiful harmony between aromas and tannins.
The fine bubbles:
  • Chavannaise : a pet'nat' rosé vinified using the ancestral method from Cabernet Franc grapes. A bubble of red fruits to enjoy under the summer sun.
  • La Turbulente : a white pet'nat' vinified using the ancestral method from Chardonnay and Chenin grapes. A fruit bubble to enjoy as an aperitif or dessert.
